This neighborhood guide breaks down everything you need to know before visiting, from exact transit directions and parking to what the in-store experience looks like, the product categories budtenders are most often asked about, and how Ontario's Cannabis Act shapes what you'll find on the shelves. If you've been searching for a reliable cannabis store Dufferin shoppers actually return to, this is the practical rundown.

Where Is Ashario Dufferin Located?

Ashario Cannabis at Finch & Dufferin is at 1111A Finch Ave W, Unit 1, North York, ON M3J 2P7. The storefront sits at the intersection of Finch Avenue West and Dufferin Street: one of North York's busiest commercial corridors. The phone line is +1-647-368-7722, and hours run 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM every day of the week.

The location is intentionally chosen for accessibility. North York's Finch & Dufferin intersection is served by TTC bus routes along both Finch West and Dufferin, and Finch West Station on Line 1 (Yonge-University) is a short bus ride east. The Finch West LRT (Line 6), which began service in recent years, has also improved transit reach into this part of the city. On-site parking is available directly in front of the store, and the unit is at ground level: no stairs, no elevator required.

For drivers, Allen Road and Highway 401 are both within a 5 to 10 minute drive, making this Ashario Cannabis location one of the most car-accessible dispensaries in the northwest GTA. You can confirm directions on the Ashario store locations page.

Ashario Dufferin Hours: Open 7 AM to 11 PM Every Day

Ashario Dufferin operates from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM, seven days a week, including statutory holidays. That's 16 hours of daily service, which makes it one of the earliest-opening and latest-closing cannabis retailers in North York. Early-morning shoppers can stop in before work; late-night customers can visit well after most retail closes.

Customers frequently ask whether holiday hours change. Under the standard schedule, the Dufferin location maintains 7 AM to 11 PM hours on Canada Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day. Christmas Day is the one Ontario-wide cannabis retail closure under provincial regulation. For confirmation on any given date, the contact Ashario Cannabis page lists direct store numbers.

Why the Extended Hours Matter

Ontario's Cannabis Act allows retailers to operate between 9 AM and 11 PM at minimum, but individual municipalities can permit earlier openings. North York permits 7 AM service, which Ashario uses to support shift workers, early commuters, and customers who prefer to avoid evening crowds. The 11 PM close also covers same-day reservation pickups placed late in the evening.

What the In-Store Experience Is Like

Walking into the Ashario Dufferin dispensary, the first thing customers notice is the open floor plan. The retail space is organized by product category rather than by brand, which makes it easier to compare options across Licensed Producers. Flower sits along one wall, pre-rolls and infused pre-rolls in the centre, vapes and 510 cartridges near the budtender counter, and edibles, concentrates, and accessories along the opposite side.

Every customer is greeted at the door by a budtender who verifies ID. Ontario law requires anyone entering or purchasing to be 19 years of age or older, and ID is checked at the threshold, not just at point of sale. Once inside, you can browse freely. Display cases show real product packaging with THC and CBD percentages, net weight, Licensed Producer name, and harvest or packaged-on dates clearly visible. Browsing the full cannabis product categories online before visiting often speeds up the in-store decision.

Budtender Consultations

Our budtenders are trained on terpene profiles, cultivar genetics, and effect categories (relaxing, balanced, uplifting). Common questions we get at the Dufferin counter include: "What's a high-terpene flower under 25% THC?", "Which vape cartridge has the longest battery life?", and "What edible has the fastest onset?" Staff are trained to answer factually without making medical claims. Canadian regulations prohibit retailers from suggesting cannabis treats or cures anything.

Product Selection at the Dufferin Location

The Ashario Dufferin store carries the full Ontario-legal product range. As of 2026, inventory is rotated weekly. Categories on shelf include:

• Dried flower: indica, sativa, and hybrid cultivars in 1g, 3.5g, 7g, 14g, and 28g formats from Licensed Producers across Canada
• Pre-rolls: single joints, multi-packs, infused pre-rolls with kief or distillate, and blunt-style pre-rolls
• Vapes: 510 cartridges (0.5g and 1g), disposable pens, and live resin/rosin formats
• Edibles: gummies, chocolates, baked goods, and beverages capped at Ontario's 10mg THC-per-package limit
• Concentrates: hash, rosin, shatter, badder, diamonds, and infused pre-rolls
• Accessories: grinders, papers, glassware, storage, and 510 batteries

Cultivars trending at the Dufferin store in 2026 include Pink Rozay, Dom P, Loud Plug Exotic Gas, and Midnight Berry from various LPs: many of which are profiled on the Ashario Cannabis blog in dedicated strain reviews.

How to Reserve Online and Pick Up at Dufferin

Ashario offers two ways to shop the Dufferin location: walk in directly, or browse online and reserve for in-store pickup. The reservation system lets you lock in a product you've seen online, and the store holds it under your name until you arrive. Pickup is typically ready within 30 to 60 minutes during business hours, and payment happens in-store (cash or debit: no online payment, in compliance with Ontario regulations).

Express pickup is the faster option for customers who already know exactly what they want. Reservation works better for first-time buyers who want a budtender to confirm the choice before they commit. Both options are described in more detail across the Ashario Cannabis blog, which also covers buying with cash versus debit in Ontario dispensaries.

The Finch & Dufferin Neighborhood

The Ashario Dufferin store sits in one of North York's most diverse and densely populated neighborhoods. The Finch & Dufferin corridor is anchored by York University to the west, Downsview Park to the south, and a mix of residential apartments, plazas, and small businesses surrounding the intersection itself. The area sees heavy foot traffic from students, commuters using the Finch West LRT, and residents from Jane & Finch, Downsview, and the Black Creek community.

For visitors making a trip out of the cannabis run, the surrounding plaza includes restaurants, grocery, and pharmacy options. Driveway access from Finch Avenue West is straightforward, and the parking lot is shared with neighbouring tenants, typically uncrowded outside of weekend evenings. The about Ashario Cannabis page covers more on how each location is matched to its neighborhood.

How Ashario Dufferin Compares to Other Ashario Locations

Ashario operates four stores: Finch & Dufferin (North York), Centerpoint Mall (Yonge & Steeles, North York), Aurora (Yonge Street), and Thornton (Barrie Street). All four share the same 7 AM to 11 PM hours and carry comparable inventory, but each has its own neighborhood character.

• Dufferin serves northwest North York, York University area, Downsview, and Jane & Finch: heavy transit access via the Finch West LRT
• Centerpoint Mall at 6464 Yonge St serves Yonge & Steeles, Willowdale, and Thornhill commuters
• Aurora at 15114 Yonge St serves York Region north of Highway 404
• Thornton at 239 Barrie St serves Innisfil, Bradford, and the Barrie commuter corridor

Customers who live or work in the corridor between Yonge and Dufferin sometimes ask which location is closer. Centerpoint Mall is east on Steeles; Dufferin is west on Finch, both are roughly 15 minutes apart by car. Full addresses and phone numbers are on the Ashario store locations page.

Ontario Cannabis Regulations to Know Before You Visit

Three rules shape every visit to an Ontario dispensary, including the Dufferin dispensary North York shoppers visit daily:

1. Age 19+: Government-issued photo ID is required at entry. Acceptable ID includes Ontario driver's licence, passport, Ontario photo card, or PR card
2. Possession limit: Ontario adults can legally carry up to 30 grams of dried cannabis (or equivalent in other formats) in public
3. Single-transaction limit: Same 30g equivalent applies per purchase

The Cannabis Act and Ontario's Cannabis Licence Act also prohibit cannabis retailers from offering loyalty programs that reward purchase volume, from making medical claims, and from advertising prices outside the store. That's why this guide doesn't list pricing, and why budtenders won't tell you a product will "help" with anything specific.
