Governance, Compliance & Responsible Retail
Ashario operates within Ontario’s regulated cannabis framework and is fully licensed and regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). Our retail model is designed to uphold strict internal policies across age-gating (ensuring only adults 19+ can access our stores), customer verification, product handling, staff training, and continuous adherence to all applicable standards.
We maintain a clear commitment to responsible adult access, transparent product information, and an education-led approach that supports informed decision-making. Through robust governance and oversight, Ashario ensures that every aspect of our operations meets or exceeds regulatory requirements, reinforcing our reputation for integrity and public trust.
Quality Assurance & Certifications
Ashario upholds the highest standards in product safety and quality across our supply chain. We require all suppliers to provide Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for every cannabis product, as mandated for legal sale, confirming each product’s potency and purity through independent laboratory testing. Additionally, all products are sourced from producers who adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and, where applicable, hold EU-GMP certification, meeting rigorous international quality benchmarks.
We also ensure that any accessories or devices we carry (such as vape batteries) are safety-certified (e.g. UL-listed) to comply with Health Canada regulations and relevant U.S. FDA guidelines. This comprehensive approach to quality assurance guarantees that every item on our shelves is compliant, safe for use, and of the highest quality for our customers.
