What makes Ashario stand out among Aurora dispensaries?

Ashario stands out in Aurora for its long daily hours (7 AM to 11 PM), a wide product selection spanning every legal cannabis category, and budtenders trained to explain products without hype. As a licensed Ontario retailer, every product on the shelf is tested to Health Canada standards.

What customers mention most often to our team is the calm, no-pressure feel of the store. Cannabis retail can be overwhelming when you're staring at dozens of jars and unfamiliar cultivar names. Our budtenders are used to explaining the difference between an indica-leaning and sativa-leaning cultivar, how dried flower differs from a distillate vape, and why terpene profiles vary from lot to lot. We don't push products. We answer questions.

Another practical differentiator: those early 7 AM openings. Aurora commuters heading south on Yonge, or shift workers finishing late, can shop outside typical retail windows. Few dispensaries in the region keep hours this long. For a broader look at how our stores operate, the Ashario blog covers product education and Ontario cannabis topics regularly.

What cannabis products can you buy at Ashario in Aurora?

Ashario Cannabis in Aurora carries the full range of legal cannabis product categories available in Ontario: dried flower, pre-rolls, vaporizer cartridges and disposables, edibles, beverages, concentrates, oils and capsules, topicals, and accessories. Selection rotates as new drops arrive from Licensed Producers.

Here's what you'll typically find on the shelves:

• Dried flower: whole buds across indica, sativa, and hybrid cultivars from Canadian Licensed Producers.
• Pre-rolls: single joints and multi-packs, including infused options.
• Vapes: 510-thread cartridges and all-in-one disposables with cultivar-specific and distillate formats.
• Edibles & beverages: gummies, chocolates, and drinks capped at the Health Canada limit of 10 mg THC per package.
• Concentrates: hash, rosin, resin, and other extracts for experienced consumers.
• Oils, capsules & topicals: ingestible and applied formats.
• Accessories: grinders, papers, storage, and hardware.

Potency varies by product and lot, so always check the current label and Certificate of Analysis (COA) in store rather than relying on any published figure. To see what's in stock at the Aurora location right now, browse the live menu for your nearest store.

How does Ontario cannabis regulation shape shopping in Aurora?

In Ontario, the legal age to buy or possess cannabis is 19, and all recreational cannabis must be purchased from a store licensed by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. Ashario Cannabis Aurora is a licensed retailer, which means every product is tracked, tested, and sourced legally.

These rules exist for good reason. Licensed retailers like Ashario carry only products that meet Health Canada quality and labelling standards, so you know what you're getting. The AGCO oversees retail conduct, staff training, and store compliance across the province. Public possession is limited to 30 grams of dried cannabis (or its equivalent) for adults 19+.

A detail our team explains often: single-package edibles in Canada are capped at 10 mg of THC, per Health Canada rules. That's a deliberate serving-size guardrail, especially useful if you're newer to edibles. When you shop legal, those protections come standard. Have a compliance question before you visit? How do you choose the right product at an Aurora dispensary?

Choosing the right cannabis product starts with three questions our Aurora budtenders ask nearly every customer: what format do you prefer, how experienced are you, and what's your tolerance? From there, we narrow the selection to fit, whether that's a low-dose gummy, a balanced hybrid flower, or a specific cultivar you've enjoyed before.

A few things worth knowing before you walk in:

• Format affects onset. Inhaled products (flower, vapes) take effect quickly; edibles are slower and last longer. Health Canada suggests newcomers start low and go slow with edibles.
• Cultivar names aren't everything. The same-named cultivar can vary between Licensed Producers and even between lots. Terpene and cannabinoid content shift by harvest: the in-store label is your source of truth.
• Tell us your goal for the format, not a health outcome. We can't and won't make medical claims, but we can explain how products differ in format, onset, and experience.

Customers frequently ask us how to store flower to keep it fresh: the short answer is a cool, dark spot in an airtight container away from light and heat. For more product breakdowns and buying tips, our cannabis blog is updated regularly with new guides.

Why do Aurora locals return to Ashario Cannabis?

Aurora locals return to Ashario because of consistent stock, knowledgeable staff, and hours that fit real schedules. The Aurora store's 7 AM to 11 PM window, seven days a week, means there's rarely a bad time to drop in. Repeat customers also value that the team remembers preferences and can flag new arrivals in categories they like.

Since opening on Yonge Street, the Aurora location has built a base of regulars from Aurora proper, Newmarket, and surrounding York Region communities. One pattern we've noticed: weekend mornings are quieter than evenings, so if you prefer an unhurried conversation with a budtender, an early visit tends to work best. As of August 2026, new product drops continue to land throughout each month, so selection stays fresh. Curious what else Ashario offers across the GTA? Start at the Ashario Cannabis homepage.

Ashario Aurora vs. the North York and Thornton stores

Ashario operates four Ontario locations, and while each carries the full legal product range, inventory can differ slightly by store based on local demand and delivery timing. The Aurora store serves York Region's north end, while the Finch & Dufferin and Centerpoint Mall stores anchor North York, and the Thornton location serves the Barrie-adjacent community.

All four share the same 7 AM to 11 PM daily hours and the same commitment to licensed, tested product. If a specific cultivar or format isn't on the Aurora shelf on a given day, it may be available at a nearby store, which is exactly why we recommend checking the live menu before you drive over.
