What Are the Hours at Ashario's North York Finch Dispensary?

Ashario Cannabis Finch & Dufferin is open 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM every day of the year, including statutory holidays like Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Canada Day. That's 16 hours of daily service: among the longest retail hours permitted under AGCO regulations, which cap cannabis retail at 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM but allow earlier openings where municipally approved.

Our busiest hours are typically between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM on weekdays, and 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM on weekends. If you want a quiet shopping experience with one-on-one budtender attention, mornings before 11:00 AM are ideal. We've found that the 7-9 AM window is popular with shift workers, early commuters, and customers picking up before work.

To skip the line, you can reserve online and pick up in-store. Browse our cannabis product categories, place a reservation, and we'll have your order ready at the counter, typically within 15 minutes during regular hours.

What Products Can I Buy at the Dufferin & Finch Cannabis Store?

Ashario Finch carries the full legal product spectrum. As of 2026, our inventory includes roughly 600+ active SKUs spanning every category Health Canada permits for adult-use retail. Every product has been quality-tested and is sold in compliant, child-resistant packaging.

Here's what you'll find on shelf:

• Dried flower: 3.5g, 7g, 14g, and 28g formats from Licensed Producers like Pure Sunfarms, Redecan, Spinach, BLK MKT, and Carmel. THC ranging from 15% to 33%+
• Pre-rolls: Singles (0.5g to 1g), 3-packs, 5-packs, 10-packs, and infused pre-rolls with kief or distillate
• Vapes: 510-thread cartridges, all-in-one disposables, and pod systems (0.5g to 1.2g)
• Edibles: Gummies, chocolates, and beverages | capped at 10mg THC per package under the Cannabis Act
• Concentrates: Hash, rosin, resin, shatter, and diamonds (1g standard units)
• CBD products: High-CBD flower, 1:1 ratio gummies, and CBD-dominant oils for customers seeking lower-intoxication options
• Accessories: Grinders, papers, bongs, vape batteries, and storage

Our budtenders at Finch are trained to walk you through terpene profiles, indica/sativa/hybrid distinctions, and onset times. New customers frequently ask about edibles dosing: a 5mg gummy is our standard recommendation for first-timers, with onset typically 45-90 minutes after consumption.

Is the Weed Store at Dufferin & Finch Legal?

Yes. Ashario Cannabis Finch & Dufferin is fully licensed by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), the provincial regulator responsible for authorizing all private cannabis retail in Ontario. Our Retail Operator Licence and Retail Store Authorization are displayed in-store.

Under the federal Cannabis Act, you must be 19 years or older to purchase or possess cannabis in Ontario. We verify government-issued photo ID at the door for anyone who appears under 25, and we cannot sell to intoxicated customers. Unlike unregulated dispensaries (which are illegal in Ontario), every product we sell carries the federal excise stamp and has been tested for pesticides, heavy metals, and microbial contaminants.

If you're new to legal retail, our team is happy to explain how the regulated system works versus what you may have seen pre-legalization. Read more on our cannabis blog for a deep dive into Ontario's licensing structure.

What's the In-Store Experience Like at Ashario Finch?

Walking into Ashario Finch, you'll find a clean, well-lit retail floor with display cases organized by category: flower along the back wall, vapes and concentrates on the side counters, and edibles near the checkout. Our store is approximately 1,200 square feet with capacity for 12-15 customers at a time. Wait times during off-peak hours average under 3 minutes.

Every staff member at Finch has completed the mandatory CannSell Standard certification, which covers product knowledge, responsible sale, and customer safety. Several of our senior budtenders also hold CannSell Expert, an advanced certification. We're trained to ask three questions when guiding a recommendation: What's your experience level? What effect are you looking for? What format (flower, vape, edible) do you prefer?

One thing customers frequently mention: we don't rush. If you want 15 minutes to compare three sativa cultivars, that's fine. If you know exactly what you want and need to be out in 90 seconds, we can do that too. The store is wheelchair-accessible, debit and credit are accepted (cannabis purchases cannot be made with cash-back debit), and we offer a small loyalty perks structure for repeat visitors.

How Does Ashario Finch Compare to Other North York Finch Dispensary Options?

North York has a dense cluster of authorized cannabis retailers: the AGCO licensing map shows over 30 stores within a 5 km radius of Dufferin & Finch. What sets Ashario Finch apart is the combination of extended hours (7 AM open vs. 9 AM at most stores), inventory breadth (600+ SKUs vs. an industry average of 350-400), and our two North York locations giving customers a backup option.

Our second North York store, Ashario Centerpoint Mall at 6464 Yonge Street, is about 12 minutes east by car. If we're out of stock on a specific cultivar at Finch, Centerpoint may have it. You can call ahead at +1-416-477-9333 to confirm. Browse both inventories through our main site.

Per Statistics Canada's Cannabis Stats Hub, Ontario accounted for approximately 38% of national legal cannabis sales in 2024, with North York being one of the highest-density retail markets in the province.

Tips From Our Budtenders for First-Time Visitors

If this is your first visit to a legal cannabis store, here's what our Finch team wants you to know. These tips come directly from the most common questions we hear at the counter.

1. Bring valid ID. Driver's licence, passport, or provincial photo card. We cannot accept health cards as primary ID.
2. Start low, go slow. If you're new to edibles, begin with 2.5 to 5mg THC and wait 2 hours before considering more.
3. Ask about terpenes. Effects depend more on terpene profile (myrcene, limonene, caryophyllene) than indica/sativa labels.
4. Check excise stamps. Every legal package has a coloured provincial excise stamp. Ontario's is yellow.
5. Pre-order to save time. Reserve online and we'll have your order pre-packed.
6. Don't drive after consuming. Cannabis impairment carries the same legal consequences as alcohol DUI in Ontario.
