What "Cannabis Store Near Me" Means in the GTA

In Ontario, only AGCO-licensed retailers can legally sell recreational cannabis to adults 19+. When you search "cannabis store near me" in the GTA, Google returns a mix of licensed dispensaries, and Ashario's four-store layout was specifically built to cover the highest-density and most underserved corridors around Toronto. The two North York stores (Finch & Dufferin and Centerpoint Mall) sit roughly 7 km apart, anchoring the western and central sides of the city. Aurora extends coverage 30 km north along Yonge Street, and Thornton serves the Highway 400 commuter belt heading toward Barrie.

Practically, this means most GTA residents north of Highway 401 are within a 15-minute drive of an Ashario location. If you're commuting on the 400-series highways, our guide to the closest legal dispensary in the GTA breaks down which Ashario store fits your route.

Which Ashario Store Is Closest to You?

• Coming from downtown Toronto or midtown? Centerpoint Mall (Yonge & Steeles area) is the most accessible by TTC and Highway 401.
• Live near York University, Downsview, or Vaughan? Finch & Dufferin is your closest cannabis store, with parking on-site.
• In Aurora, Newmarket, or Richmond Hill? The Aurora store on Yonge Street sits in the central retail strip between Wellington and Henderson.
• Commuting on Highway 400 north of the GTA? Ashario Thornton is the only late-hours dispensary serving the Innisfil-Cookstown-Bradford triangle.

Same-Day Cannabis Pickup in Ontario: How Ashario's Reservation System Works

Same-day cannabis pickup at Ashario is straightforward: browse the live in-store inventory online, reserve your products, then pick them up at the store you selected, often within 15 to 30 minutes. Ontario regulation requires that all cannabis transactions complete in-person at the licensed retail location, so "pickup" is technically the legal payment and handoff step, but reservation guarantees the product is set aside for you.

Here's the step-by-step process:

1. Visit the Ashario product collections and select your preferred store at the top of the page so you see real-time inventory for that location.
2. Add flower, pre-rolls, vapes, edibles, concentrates, or accessories to your reservation cart.
3. Submit your reservation with your name and phone number: no payment required online.
4. You'll receive a confirmation when the order is packed (typically 15 to 30 minutes during normal hours).
5. Bring valid government-issued photo ID showing you are 19+ and pay in-store via debit, credit, or cash.

Our budtenders frequently tell customers that reservation is the fastest way to skip the line during peak hours (5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on weekdays and most of Saturday). You can also call the store directly using the phone numbers above to confirm a specific cultivar is in stock before you drive over.

Why GTA Customers Choose Ashario for Closest Cannabis Store Searches

Ashario Cannabis was built around four core operational standards that differentiate the chain from other Ontario retailers: extended 16-hour daily hours, full-category inventory at every location, trained budtenders at each store, and consistent reservation-to-pickup workflow across all four shops. As of 2026, Ashario is one of the few Ontario dispensary groups operating a unified inventory system where the same brand availability, product knowledge, and customer service experience repeats at every door.

Specific reasons GTA customers cite when choosing Ashario as their closest cannabis store:

• Long daily hours: 7:00 AM opening serves early shift workers; 11:00 PM closing covers late-evening shoppers, covered in detail in our weed store open now guide.
• Full Ontario legal catalogue: Flower, pre-rolls, vapes (510 carts and disposables), edibles, beverages, concentrates, topicals, and accessories. Browse the full Ashario product categories.
• Licensed Producer variety: Stock from Pure Sunfarms, Redecan, Good Supply, Spinach, Back Forty, 7ACRES, BZAM, Carmel, Broken Coast, 1CM, Hexo, Tantalus, and dozens more.
• Real budtender expertise: Each Ashario team member is CannSell-certified and trained on terpene profiles, cultivar genetics, and product format differences.
• Free customer parking at all four locations.

What to Bring When You Visit Your Closest Ashario Dispensary

Every adult cannabis purchase in Ontario requires valid government-issued photo ID proving you are 19 years of age or older. This is mandated under the Cannabis Licence Act, 2018, and Ashario staff are required to ID every customer regardless of apparent age. Acceptable ID includes an Ontario driver's licence, Ontario photo card, Canadian passport, permanent resident card, or military ID.

Additional tips for a smooth pickup visit:

• Payment: All four Ashario stores accept debit, Visa, Mastercard, and cash. An on-site ATM is available at most locations.
• Possession limit reminder: Ontario law allows adults to carry up to 30 grams of dried cannabis (or equivalent) in public. See our full GTA cannabis buyer's guide for equivalencies.
• Reservation pickup window: Most reservations are held for 24 hours. If you can't make it, just call the store.
• Walk-ins welcome: No reservation needed | but during 5 to 9 PM peak hours, reserving online saves time.

Can I get same-day cannabis pickup in Ontario?

Yes. Same-day cannabis pickup is fully legal in Ontario at AGCO-licensed retailers. Ashario Cannabis offers online reservation through www.ashario.com. You select your store, build your cart, submit the reservation, and pick up in-store usually within 15 to 30 minutes. Final payment and the handoff happen in person, as required by the Cannabis Licence Act. There is no minimum order and reservations are free to place.

Do I need to order online or can I just walk in?

Both options work. Ashario welcomes walk-in customers at all four GTA locations from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily. However, during peak evening hours (5 to 9 PM) and on weekends, reserving online saves time because your products are pre-packed and waiting. Walk-in shoppers also benefit from face-to-face budtender consultation, which is especially helpful if you're new to a product category like concentrates or 510 vapes.

What ID do I need to buy cannabis in Ontario?

Ontario law requires customers to be 19 years of age or older with valid government-issued photo ID. Acceptable IDs include an Ontario driver's licence, Ontario photo card, Canadian passport, permanent resident card, Canadian citizenship card with photo, or military ID. Ashario budtenders are required to verify ID for every cannabis sale, with no exceptions, under the Cannabis Licence Act, 2018.

Which Ashario location has the latest hours?

All four Ashario Cannabis stores keep identical hours: 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM, seven days a week, 365 days a year, including holidays. This makes Ashario one of the most accessible cannabis retailers in the GTA for early-morning and late-night shoppers. If you need a dispensary near you that's open past 10 PM in North York, both the Finch & Dufferin and Centerpoint Mall locations stay open until 11 PM.

Do all four Ashario stores carry the same products?

Ashario maintains a consistent core catalogue across all four locations, but real-time stock can vary by store based on demand. Limited-drop cultivars, specialty concentrates, and certain craft pre-rolls may sell through faster at one location than another. The Ashario online inventory shows live stock per store, so if you're hunting a specific SKU, select your preferred location at the top of the product collections page before browsing. You can also call the store directly to confirm.

How do I contact an Ashario store directly?
